Tamara Nielsen’s work explores the liminal spaces between the spiritual and the earthly, life and death, and rational experience and that which escapes perception. She delves into the complexity of human existence, represented by the recurring figure of the snake, which symbolises resilience, with its forms and patterns interwoven with earth-inspired tones and elements. Her art is deeply connected to profound life processes, such as grief and motherhood—two experiences that have temporally coexisted in the artist’s life, giving rise to reflections that she conveys through her painting.
